There was no surprise in Izmir where 14th ranked Istanbulgucu (1-5) was defeated by seventh ranked Urla BLD (5-2) 66-54 on Sunday. American center Cierra Robertson-Warren (193-91, college: San Diego St., agency: Two Points) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Canan Karsavran (-92) chipped in 15 points (perfect from the field making all six shots). American forward Breanna Brock (187-90, college: Missouri, agency: Gamble Sports Management) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 22 rebounds and forward Belgin Onbasi (177-82) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Four Istanbulgucu players scored in double figures. Urla BLD moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bursa BSB and Edirne. Istanbulgucu lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with five games lost. Urla BLD will face Bayrakli (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Istanbulgucu will play against Mersin Gelisim and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
