Regular Season Round 8: Klosterneuburg - Oberwart 84-64

A Bundesliga top team - Dukes (6-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Gunners Oberwart (3-4) in Klosterneuburg 84-64. Dukes looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Gunners Oberwart's players. The best player for the winners was naturalized Argentinian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Jurica Blazevic (199-94, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 21 points. American forward Denzel Gregg (201, college: St.Bonaventure) produced 19 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Benjamin Blazevic (204-95) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dukes have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-1 record, which they share with Arkadia and Gmunden. Gunners Oberwart at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Vienna. Dukes will meet Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Gunners Oberwart will play against Vienna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
