Regular Season Round 8: Furstenfeld - Wels 61-83

The most shocking disappointment of round 8 in the A Bundesliga was a home defeat of 7th ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (1-6) by eighth ranked Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (2-5) who outscored them by 22 points 83-61 in the game for the seventh place. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Elijah Wilson (193-94, college: Co.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and the former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) who added 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Raiffeisen Flyers Wels players scored in double figures. American forward Chris Reyes (201-94, college: Pepperdine) responded with 32 points and his fellow American import forward Wesley Gordon (206-94, college: Colorado) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 blocks. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels moved-up to seventh place. Furstenfeld Panthers lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels are looking forward to face higher ranked Dukes (#3) in Klosterneuburg in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Furstenfeld Panthers will play on the road against the league's leader Gmunden Swans (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
