The game between Top Four teams took place in Botevgrad. Top-ranked host Balkan (5-0) defeated 3rd ranked Beroe (3-2) 87-80. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-15. But Beroe won second period 23-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Hristo Zahariev (197-90) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Balkan players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was international forward Aleksandar Yanev-Georgiev (203-90, agency: 011 Sports) with 31 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Alex Davis (206-92, college: Fresno St., agency: Diamond Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Balkan have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record. Beroe at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Levski 2014. Balkan are looking forward to face Yambol (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Beroe will play against Levski 2014 (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
