Regular Season Round 10: Lich II - Speyer 69-95

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Speyer (8-1) outleveled on the road 13th ranked Lich II (2-7) 95-69 on Saturday. Lich II was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Spanish center Eduard Arques (202-94) fired 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Jordan Rezendes (188, college: Mass.-Dartmouth) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds. Five Speyer players scored in double figures. Power forward Yannik Ribbecke (197-97) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and FYR Macedonian Onur Mehmed (192-97) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Speyer have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position in South-West with 8-1 record having 2 victories less than leader Muenster. Loser Lich II dropped to the twelfth place with seven games lost. Speyer will face Kaiserslautern (#6) at home in the next round. Lich II will play against Tuebingen II (#3) and hope to win that game.
