Regular Season Round 14: Delikatesas - Vytis 62-86

NKL top team - Vytis (13-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Delikatesas (4-10) in Joniskis 86-62. They outrebounded Delikatesas 37-24 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Karolis Babkauskas (185-91, agency: Octagon Europe) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 assists to lead the effort and international guard Sarunas Vingelis (191-89) supported him with 17 points and 5 assists. Five Vytis players scored in double figures. Even 22 points and 8 rebounds by forward Rytis Biliartas (202-91) did not help to save the game for Delikatesas. Mantvydas Zukauskas (191-98) added 11 points for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vytis have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-1 record. Delikatesas lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Perlas. Vytis will meet league's second-placed Suduva-Mantinga in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Delikatesas will play against Zalgiris II (#7) in Kaunas and hope to secure a win.
