The game in Risskov was also worth to mention about. One of their biggest challengers Randers (3-4) played at the court of sixth ranked Bakken (3-1). Bakken managed to secure a 7-point victory 100-93. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Randers won third quarter 26-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bakken made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Bakken outrebounded Randers 38-27 including 24 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American-Trinidad and Tobago forward Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-93, college: Illinois St., agency: Slash Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Jeffrey Crockett (201-91, college: Texas Tech) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Bakken's coach Steffen Wich allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Kyndahl Hill (201-94, college: Weber St.) replied with 26 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Jerrell Williams (203-88, college: La Salle) added 25 points in the effort for Randers. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Randers at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Svendborg. Bakken will play against Svendborg (#6) on the road in the next round. Randers will play against Naestved and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
