Regular Season Round 8: Beroe-2 - Chavdar 83-81

The most exciting game of round 8 in the Division A took place in Stara Zagora. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Chavdar (3-2) to third ranked Beroe-2 (3-2) 83-81 on Sunday evening. Beroe-2 forced 19 Chavdar turnovers. Forward Nikolay Nikolov (196-94) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Martin Radnev (192-89) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Beroe-2 players scored in double figures. Forward Lubomir Lilov (200-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Tsenko Nakov (185-87) added 24 points and 4 assists in the effort for Chavdar. Newly promoted Beroe-2 maintains third position in A with 3-2 record having four points less than leader Buba. Beroe-2 are looking forward to face Dolphin (#4) on the road in the next round. Chavdar will play against Shumen and is hoping to win this game.
