Regular Season Round 8: Vidabasket - CSKA 95-64

The game in Vidin supposed to be also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers CSKA (2-5) played at the court of fifth ranked Vidabasket (3-4). Vidabasket smashed CSKA 95-64 on Sunday. Vidabasket shot 60.4 percent from the field and made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Vidabasket outrebounded CSKA 34-21 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. Vidabasket looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by CSKA's players. Guard Kaloyan Petrov (182-97) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!). Power forward Radoslav Kolev (199-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Robert Georgiev (187-98) replied with 14 points and Andy Francis (193-99) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for CSKA. Five Vidabasket and four CSKA players scored in double figures. CSKA's coach Jordan Kolev gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vidabasket moved-up to fourth place in A. Loser CSKA dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Vidabasket will have a break next round. CSKA's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sofia Buba.
