An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sofia. Third ranked Rilski faced 4th placed Levski 2014. Guests from Samokov (5-2) defeated host Levski 2014 (3-3) 73-67. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 36-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Rilski made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international guard Zlatin Georgiev (197-85) fired 16 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American forward Sheldon Jeter (203-94, college: Pittsburgh) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Rilski players scored in double figures. The former international guard Stanimir Marinov (192-91, agency: Interperformances) produced 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and international forward Aleks Simeonov (200-93) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rilski have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 5-2 record behind leader Balkan. Levski 2014 at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Akademik PL and Beroe. Rilski will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Levski 2014 will play on the road against the league's leader Balkan (#1) in Botevgrad and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
