Regular Season Round 9: Marburg - Wasserburg 52-76

Leader TSV 1880 Wasserburg delivered the eighth victory. This time they crushed 5th ranked BC Pharmaserv Marburg (5-4) 76-52. It looked good early as BC Pharmaserv Marburg took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then TSV 1880 Wasserburg had a 17-9 second period charge getting the lead and BC Pharmaserv Marburg was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 52-76. It was a good game for French forward Margaux Galliou-Loko (183-93) who led her team to a victory with 19 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Haiden Palmer (173-91, college: Gonzaga) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four TSV 1880 Wasserburg players scored in double figures. The former international forward Stephanie Wagner (182-90) answered with 16 points and the former international power forward Svenja Greunke (188-89) added 7 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for BC Pharmaserv Marburg. Defending champion maintains first place with 8-1 record, which they share with Keltern. BC Pharmaserv Marburg at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. TSV 1880 Wasserburg will play against ChemCats Chemnitz (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BC Pharmaserv Marburg will play against Herner TC (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
