There was no surprise in Ankara where 5th ranked Edremit (5-4) was defeated by third ranked Cankaya (7-2) 67-54 on Friday. Cankaya outrebounded Edremit 53-23 including a 41-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Cankaya made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was American power forward Vicki Baugh (193-89, college: Tennessee) who scored 9 points, 25 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Kubra Dicle (187-92, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds.
