Regular Season Round 10: Siauliai-Univ. - Suduva 45-88

Second ranked Suduva blasted bottom-ranked Siauliai-Univ. (0-8) in Siauliai 88-45 on Friday evening. Siauliai-Univ. is still unable to win any game. Suduva forced 20 Siauliai-Univ. turnovers and outrebounded them 53-30 including a 22-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Siauliai-Univ.'s players. International center Justina Matuzonyte (195-94) had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Danielle McCray (185-93, college: Mississippi) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws) during the contest. Five Suduva players scored in double figures. Suduva's coach Tadas Stankevicius felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side point guard Dominyka Paliulyte (172-1) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Kourtney Williams (175, college: S.Carolina St.) scored 18 points. Suduva have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion (7-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Sirenos. Loser Siauliai-Univ. still closes the standings with eight games lost. Suduva will meet Aistes-LSU (#5) in the next round. Siauliai-Univ. will play against Vilkmerge in Ukmerge and hopes to get finally their first victory.
