Regular Season Round 10: Herner - Marburg 68-53

DBBL round 10 most important game was a victory of Herner TC over one of their biggest challengers BC Pharmaserv Marburg 68-53 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Herner TC. BC Pharmaserv Marburg managed to win second period 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Courtney Range (190-95, college: California, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 6 rebounds. Dutch guard Karin Kuijt (174-90) contributed with 15 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Herner TC's coach Marek Piotrowski used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international power forward Svenja Greunke (188-89) replied with 8 points and 6 rebounds and Bulgarian power forward Diana Voynova (192-88, college: Duquesne) added 6 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for BC Pharmaserv Marburg. Herner TC (6-4) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bad Aibling. BC Pharmaserv Marburg at the other side dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Hannover. Herner TC is looking forward to face ChemCats Chemnitz (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. BC Pharmaserv Marburg will play against TH Wohnbau Angels (#3) and is hoping to win this game.
