Regular Season Round 16: Perlas - Ezerunas 101-85

There was a small surprise in Vilnius where twelfth ranked Perlas (6-10) defeated 10th ranked Ezerunas (6-10) 101-85 on Saturday. Perlas dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Ezerunas' 40. They outrebounded Ezerunas 38-22 including 17 on the offensive glass. Perlas looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Arnas Berucka (195-97, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Karolis Giedraitis (193-98) who added 26 points during the contest. At the losing side Jonas Zakas (192-97) responded with 17 points and Karolis Lukosiunas (196-97) scored 18 points (made all of his seven free throws). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Perlas moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Palanga and Ezerunas. Perlas will meet bottom-ranked KTU (#14) in the next round. Ezerunas will play against the league's leader Vytis (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
