Everything went according to plan when leader Vilsbiburg (10-0) outplayed at home 13th ranked GGZ Baskets (1-9) 96-63 on Saturday. Vilsbiburg forced 20 GGZ Baskets turnovers. American swingman Kendall Timmons (195-90, college: Tulane) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Guard Eduard Hoffmann (185-97) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Vilsbiburg players scored in double figures. Croatian swingman Sandro Kordis (195-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds and center Mario Nagler (203-87) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for GGZ Baskets. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Vilsbiburg. They maintain first place in South-East with 10-0 record. GGZ Baskets lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Vilsbiburg will face Gotha II (#4) on the road in the next round. GGZ Baskets will play against Jena II (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
