Regular Season Round 11: Aschersleben - Neustadt TSV 75-82

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Aschersleben (7-3) against sixth ranked Neustadt TSV (6-3) on Saturday night. Host Aschersleben was defeated by Neustadt TSV in a tough game in Aschersleben 75-82. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Aschersleben won third quarter 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for Mubarak Salami (197-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. American power forward Jake Marvin (203, college: Hastings) helped adding 19 points. Croatian power forward Dino Erceg (203-85) responded with 24 points and 6 rebounds and Croatian Robert Kujundzic (202-94) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Neustadt TSV. They moved-up to third place in North, which they share with Rendsburg. Aschersleben at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Neustadt TSV will play against Bergedorf (#5) in Hamburg in the next round. Aschersleben will have a break next round.
