Regular Season Round 11: Hanau - Koeln Rh.Stars 82-96

The most interesting game of round 11 in the ProA was a home defeat of 7th ranked White Wings (6-5) to sixth ranked Koeln Rh.Stars (7-4) 96-82. Koeln Rh.Stars shot 63.3 percent from the field. Koeln Rh.Stars outrebounded White Wings 31-17 including 21 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for naturalized American guard Max DiLeo (185-93, college: Monmouth) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Naturalized American forward Alex Foster (202-92, college: Emory) helped adding 16 points. Koeln Rh.Stars' coach Denis Wucherer used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Paul Albrecht (205-93) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Chase Adams (177-88, college: Pittsburgh) scored 18 points and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Koeln Rh.Stars have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Karlsruhe PS. White Wings at the other side keep the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Heidelberg and Kirchheim. Koeln Rh.Stars is looking forward to face Chemnitz (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. White Wings will play against the league's second-placed SC Rasta Vechta and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
