The game in Porto supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Lombos Quinta (5-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Academico FC (3-5). Lombos Quinta smashed Academico FC 65-37 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Academico FC. The game without a history. Lombos Quinta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 34 of its points in the paint compared to Academico FC's 14. They outrebounded Academico FC 45-26 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Mali center Kankou Coulibaly (185-90) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Taylor Anderson (183-93, college: Loyola Mary) chipped in 7 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Francisca Braga (180-90) produced 12 points and 8 rebounds and Andreia Oliveira added 6 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lombos Quinta have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser Academico FC keeps the eighth position with five games lost. Lombos Quinta will face league's second-placed GDESSA in Barreiro in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Academico FC will play on the road against CAB Madeira (#4) in Funchal and hope to win that game.
