Another exciting game was between seventh ranked Timisoara and 4th placed Alba Iulia where Timisoara (3-3) won against Alba Iulia (3-4) on the road 78-72. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Maegan Conwright (173-92, college: Florida St.) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 5 assists. Center Leeza Burdgess (194-90, college: La Salle) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Timisoara's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Ashley Morrissette (175-95, college: Purdue) answered with 23 points and guard Jessica January (170-95, college: De Paul) added 11 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Alba Iulia. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Timisoara moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Cluj Napoca. Alba Iulia at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Olimpia Brasov. Timisoara will play against Sirius TgM (#8) in Targu Mures in the next round. Alba Iulia will play on the road against ICIM Arad and hopes to get back on the winning track.
