Very expected game when 11th ranked Mersin Uni (5-5) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Izmit (7-3) 68-60 on Tuesday. Izmit outrebounded Mersin Uni 44-33 including 30 on the defensive glass. American forward Arhonda Covington (185-85, college: Louisville) fired a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds for the winners. Forward Ebru Torun (-87, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) chipped in 18 points.
