There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Lusitania (4-6) lost to ninth ranked Galitos-Barreiro (3-6) in Angra 92-98 on Friday. Lusitania was trailing by 8 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 37-27 charge of Galitos-Barreiro, which allowed them to win the game. They made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. American players dominated also this game. It was a very good performance for forward Dominique Lee (196-91, college: N.Colorado, agency: Blacktop Management) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Cedric Isom (188-84, college: E.Texas Baptist) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Isom is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Swingman Dominique Coleman (198-88, college: Francis Marion) answered with 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Four McGlynn (188-92, college: Rhode Island) added 21 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Lusitania. Four Galitos-Barreiro and five Lusitania players scored in double figures. Galitos-Barreiro maintains ninth place with 3-6 record. Loser Lusitania dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Galitos-Barreiro will face Ovarense (#10) at home in the next round.
