Regular Season Round 9: Tofas - Galatasaray 97-90

BSL top team - Tofas (9-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eighth ranked Galatasaray (4-5) in Bursa 97-90. Tofas dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Galatasaray's 42. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American point guard Pierria Henry (193-93, college: Charlotte) stepped up with a triple-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners and his fellow American import power forward Raymar Morgan (203-88, college: Michigan St.) chipped in 24 points. The best for the losing side was American-Congolese Dwight Hardy (188-87, college: St.John's) with 21 points and American-Bosnian point guard Alex Renfroe (191-86, college: Belmont, agency: BeoBasket) scored 12 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Five Tofas and four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. Galatasaray's coach Erman Kunter rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Tofas. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Galatasaray at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Tofas will play against Pinar Karsiyaka (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Galatasaray will play against Usak Sportlif (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
