The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Balkan (6-1) in Botevgrad on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by sixth ranked Levski 2014 (5-3) 70-67. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Balkan. The guests trailed by 11 points at the halftime before their 38-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The former international guard Stanimir Marinov (192-91, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 5 rebounds. International forward Aleks Simeonov (200-93) contributed with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward DeVaughn Washington (202-89, college: Ohio, agency: Mansfield and Associates) added 17 points in the effort for Balkan. Levski 2014 moved-up to fourth place. Balkan at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Levski 2014's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sofia Levski 2014.
