Regular Season Round 7: UBT Cluj Napoca - Oradea 83-82

Important game to mention about took place in Cluj Napoca. First ranked UBT Cluj Napoca (5-1) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Oradea (4-2) 83-82 on Saturday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Oradea. The hosts were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 26-13 Oradea's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 83-82 at the end of the game. UBT Cluj Napoca players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Giordan Watson (178-85, college: Cent.Michigan, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 assists. American-Liberian guard Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: Connecticut) contributed with 18 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four UBT Cluj Napoca players scored in double figures. UBT Cluj Napoca's coach Mihai Silvasan allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Montenegrin Nemanja Milosevic (204-87, college: W.Kentucky, agency: 011 Sports) answered with 21 points and 8 rebounds and American-Hungarian point guard Obadiah Trotter (188-84, college: Alabama A&M) added 14 points in the effort for Oradea. Despite that victory UBT Cluj Napoca went down to second position due to points difference. Oradea at the other side dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. UBT Cluj Napoca will play against Steaua CSM (#8) in Bucuresti in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Oradea will play at home against BC Timisoara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
