Regular Season Round 11: Braunschweig - EWE Baskets 99-88

An interesting game took place in Braunschweig, where higher ranked EWE Baskets (6-5) lost to thirteenth ranked Braunschweig (5-6) in a road game 88-99. Braunschweig made 26-of-34 charity shots (76.5 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by EWE Baskets helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Scott Eatherton (203-91, college: Northeastern, agency: BeoBasket) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import guard DeAndre Lansdowne (187-89, college: Fort Lewis) accounted for 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Belgian Maxime De-Zeeuw (206-87) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and American swingman Rickey Paulding (196-82, college: Missouri) added 19 points respectively for EWE Baskets in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players saving starting five for next games. Braunschweig moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Giessen 46ers. EWE Baskets at the other side dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Braunschweig's next round opponent will be Mitteldeutscher BC (#15) in Weissenfels.
