Regular Season Round 7: Terceira - Galitos-Barreiro 74-70

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Terceira's (5-5) home victory over 9th ranked Galitos-Barreiro (3-6) in Angra Heroismo 74-70 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Galitos-Barreiro won fourth quarter 26-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated also this game. It was a very good performance for point guard Isaiah Johnson (183-93, college: Young Harris) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals. Forward Manny Ogunfolu (201-89, college: S.Indiana) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Forward Dominique Lee (196-91, college: N.Colorado, agency: Blacktop Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds and guard Cedric Isom (188-84, college: E.Texas Baptist) added 20 points in the effort for Galitos-Barreiro. Four Galitos-Barreiro players scored in double figures. Terceira moved-up to seventh place. Loser Galitos-Barreiro keeps the ninth position with six games lost. Terceira will face Lusitania (#8) in Angra in the next round. Galitos-Barreiro will play at home against Ovarense and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
