There was a surprise result when seventh ranked BC Pharmaserv Marburg (6-5) edged at home 3rd placed TH Wohnbau Angels (7-4) 75-73 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 22-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Svenja Greunke (188-89) who led her team to a victory scoring 14 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Katlyn Yohn (181-91, college: Bradley) helped adding 16 points. Four BC Pharmaserv Marburg players scored in double figures. Canadian forward Kim Pierre-Louis (183-93, college: Massachusetts) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and Serbian guard Aleksandra Racic (181-90) scored 16 points. BC Pharmaserv Marburg moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Herner and Hannover. Loser TH Wohnbau Angels keep the third position with four games lost. BC Pharmaserv Marburg will face Hannover (#5) at home in the next round. TH Wohnbau Angels will play against ChemCats Chemnitz and hope to win that game.
