Joana Cortinhas (182-95) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Francisca Braga (180-90) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Academico FC. CAB Madeira moved-up to third place. Loser Academico FC keeps the eighth position with six games lost. CAB Madeira will face AD Vagos (#5) at home in the next round. Academico FC will play against Benfica in Lisbona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
