The game between Top Four teams took place in Samokov. 3rd placed host Rilski Sportist (2-3) was smashed by second ranked Beroe (4-1) 86-48. The game was mostly controlled by Beroe. Rilski Sportist managed to win second period 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Rilski Sportist to just 1 points in third quarter. Beroe dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Rilski Sportist's 24. Beroe forced 31 Rilski Sportist turnovers and outrebounded them 44-28 including a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Swingman Petya Boyadjieva (178-98) fired 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Italian center Alexandra Petrova (190-98) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Center Preslava Koleva (189-99) produced 10 points and point guard Claudia Penkova (160-98) added 6 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Beroe maintains second place in East with 4-1 record behind leader Montana 2003. Newly promoted Rilski Sportist keeps the third position with three games lost. Beroe will meet at home Asenovets (#4) in the next round. Rilski Sportist will play against Cherno More in Varna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
