The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Satu Mare (6-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by Sf.Gheorghe (8-0) 78-59. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Satu Mare. Sf.Gheorghe dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Satu Mare's 22. American guard Taneisha Harrison (182-89, college: Pittsburgh) replied with 22 points and her fellow American import guard Porchia Green (180-87, college: Ball St.) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Satu Mare. Sf.Gheorghe have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-0 record. Satu Mare at the other side keeps the second place with one game lost. Sf.Gheorghe are looking forward to face Cluj Napoca (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Satu Mare will play against Alexandria (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
