Regular Season Round 9: Horsens IC - Stevnsgade 80-68

Ligaen top team - Horsens IC (9-1) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat eighth ranked Stevnsgade (0-8) 80-68. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-68. Horsens IC made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Bosnian forward Vedran Borovcanin (200-85) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Lawrence Alexander (190-91, college: N.Dakota St.) accounted for 11 points and 8 assists. The former international forward Mike Flowers (194-86, college: Barton, NC) came up with 14 points and 8 rebounds and international forward Mathias Seilund (204-90, college: Fair Dickinson) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Stevnsgade in the defeat. Four Stevnsgade players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Horsens IC have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-1 record. Loser Stevnsgade still closes the standings with eight games lost. Horsens IC will meet at home league's second-placed Horsholm in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Stevnsgade will play against Bakken (#4) in Risskov and hopes to get finally their first victory.
