Rather expected game when 7th ranked Flames (5-6) lost to fourth ranked Blackbirds (7-4) in Jennersdorf 56-71 on Sunday. Blackbirds had a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for guard Matthias Klepeisz (190-89) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Christoph Astl (187-88) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Christian Kunstner (186-90) came up with 17 points and point guard Tobias Stadelmann (180-88) added 11 points respectively for Flames in the defeat. Flames' coach Franz Zderadicka rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Blackbirds. Newly promoted Blackbirds maintains fourth place with 7-4 record, which they share with Lions. Flames lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Blackbirds will again meet Flames (#8) in the next round. Flames will have a break next round.
