Regular Season Round 9: CSKA - BUBA 74-79

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Sofia: BUBA (#1) and CSKA (#6). CSKA was defeated at home 74-79 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. BUBA forced 22 CSKA turnovers. Guard Aleksandar Milov (198-95) nailed 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and swingman Ivan Alipiev (200-99) accounted for 15 points and 12 rebounds. Andy Francis (193-99) came up with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Ivaylo Tonev (198-99) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively for CSKA in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted BUBA maintains first place in A with 8-0 record. CSKA at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. BUBA will play against Vidabasket (#4) in Vidin in the next round. CSKA's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Sofia to the arena Akademik Sofia.
