ICIM Arad's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after six consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Alba Iulia (3-5) 73-59 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by ICIM Arad. Alba Iulia managed to win fourth quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American forward Monique Coker (185-82, college: ODU) who scored that evening 15 points and 9 rebounds and Bosnian guard Matea Tavic (178-92) supported her with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four ICIM Arad players scored in double figures. Even 23 points by American guard Jessica January (170-95, college: De Paul) did not help to save the game for Alba Iulia. Serbian center Ana Radovic (191-90, agency: ProDep Management) added 11 points and 12 rebounds for the guests. ICIM Arad maintains ninth position with 1-6 record. Newly promoted Alba Iulia dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. ICIM Arad will meet higher ranked Sirius TgM (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Alba Iulia will have a break next round.
