Thirteenth-ranked Delikatesas (5-13) made lots of trouble for eighth ranked Taurages (9-10) on Friday. Taurages managed to secure only three-point victory 81-78. However their fans expected much easier game. Taurages made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. Taurages outrebounded Delikatesas 40-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. Delikatesas was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Aivaras Kvedaravicius (185-88) fired 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Rytis Pipiras (201-95) chipped in 20 points. Swingman Zilvinas Petraitis (194-88) produced 25 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Dominikas Matutis (180-91) added 18 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Delikatesas' coach Paulius Barkus rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Taurages moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Zalgiris II. Loser Delikatesas keeps the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Taurages will face Ereliai Mazeikiai (#10) on the road in the next round. Delikatesas will play against Ezerunas and hope to win that game.
