Regular Season Round 8: Moscavide - Ginasio 60-67

Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Moscavide (1-7) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Ginasio (5-3) 67-60 on Friday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Moscavide won third quarter 15-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Ginasio won last quarter 20-15. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Jose Costa (187-73) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Marco Goncalves (206-84) who added 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Swingman Americo Matos (-95) responded with 13 points and swingman Seco Camara (195-76, college: G.Washington) scored 13 points. Ginasio moved-up to second place in South, which they share with Belenenses CF. Moscavide lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Ginasio will face Angrabasket (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Moscavide will play against the league's second-placed Belenenses CF in Lisbona and hope to win that game.
