Regular Season Round 9: SISU - Virum 69-58

The game between second ranked Virum (6-3) and fourth ranked SISU (4-5) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Virum was defeated by SISU in Copenhagen 69-58. Virum was trailing by 11 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 26-14 charge of SISU, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Catharina Jensen (182-89) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). American forward Kama Griffitts (183-91, college: Arizona) chipped in 31 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Valerie Driscoll (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds and the other American import guard Caitlin Ingle (172-95, college: Drake, agency: LBM Management) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively. SISU maintains fourth place with 4-5 record. Defending champion Virum keeps the second position with three games lost. SISU are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Lemvig (#6) at home in the next round. Virum will play against Stevnsgade (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
