Regular Season Round 19: Vytis - Zalgiris II 91-73

Leader Vytis delivered the seventeenth victory on Friday night. This time they beat 7th ranked Zalgiris II (9-10) 91-73 in Sakiai. It was a great evening for forward Marijus Uzupis (197-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 5 rebounds. Gytis Radzevicius (195-95) helped adding 15 points and 5 assists. Five Vytis players scored in double figures. At the losing side international center Martynas Sajus (208-96) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Rokas Jokubaitis (187-0) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vytis have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-2 record. Loser Zalgiris II keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Taurages. Vytis will meet at home league's second-placed Silute in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zalgiris II will play against Neptunas-Akv. (#4) and hope to secure a win.
