Regular Season Round 12: Bodrum - Izmit 102-64

TKBL top team - Bodrum (11-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Izmit (7-5) 102-64. Bodrum dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Izmit's 34. They outrebounded Izmit 40-28 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Bodrum especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. Worth to mention a quality performance of American center Sasha Goodlett (195-90, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 9 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) and Gulsah Celebi (-85, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) who added 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Bodrum's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Arhonda Covington (185-85, college: Louisville) with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Melek Yusufoglu (168-94) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Bodrum have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-0 record. Izmit at the other side dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. They share the position with Urla BLD and Elazig. Bodrum are looking forward to face Istanbulgucu (#13) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Izmit will play against Edirne (#10) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
