Undefeated leader Uniao Sportiva delivered the eleventh consecutive victory. This time they beat 7th ranked Alges (4-8) 59-50 in Ponta Delgada. The hosts were already 15 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 17-11 Alges' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 59-50 at the end of the game. Uniao Sportiva dominated on the defensive end, holding Alges to just 6 points in third quarter. They outrebounded Alges 37-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a quality performance for Brazilian power forward Leticia Rodrigues (190-95) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. The former international forward Sara Djassi (180-89, college: Cent.Florida) accounted for 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Angolan forward Artemis Afonso (175-93) came up with 12 points and 5 rebounds and Rita Santos (162-97) added 12 points respectively for Alges in the defeat. Alges' coach Mario Nascimento gave the chance to play for eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Uniao Sportiva.
