Regular Season Round 9: SumDU - Ch.Mavpy 2 116-72

No shocking result in a game in Sumy where fifth ranked SumDU (6-4) smashed bottom-ranked Ch.Mavpy 2 (0-10) 116-72 on Saturday. SumDU forced 19 Ch.Mavpy 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 44-24 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. SumDU looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Ch.Mavpy 2's players. The best player for the winners was Gleb Buzko (192-92) who scored 26 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international forward Igor Kryvych (198-78) chipped in 32 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four SumDU players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Vitaliy Gnoyoviy (191-99) who recorded 21 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) and Yaroslav Voytovych (202-99) added 15 points respectively. Ch.Mavpy 2's coach Oleksandr Vorona already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. SumDU moved-up to third place. Ch.Mavpy 2 lost their tenth game in a row. They still close the standings with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
