Regular Season Round 13: Cuxhaven - Bochum 60-77

Very expected game when 11th ranked Cuxhaven (3-10) lost at home to seventh ranked AstroStars (7-6) 77-60 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for American forward Davon Roberts (197-86, college: Azusa Pacific) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 7 rebounds. Canadian guard Ashton Smith (187-89, college: Indiana, PA) contributed with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Center Florian Wendeler (205-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Jannes Hundt (184-96) added 15 points and 4 steals in the effort for Cuxhaven. Cuxhaven's coach Markus Roewenstrunk tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. AstroStars moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with ETB Wohnbau and Rostock. Newly promoted Cuxhaven keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. AstroStars will face league's leader Schalke at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cuxhaven will play against Rostock (#6) and hope to win that game.
