Undefeated leader Niko-Basket delivered the ninth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 5th ranked Dnipro-2 (4-5) 96-74 in Mykolaiv. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Dnipro-2. Niko-Basket made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Dnipro-2 turnovers. Illya Zhukovskiy (198-93) stepped up and scored 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and swingman Maksym Ozhegov (190-90) chipped in 16 points. The best for the losing side was forward Pavlo Bondarenko (199-99) with 25 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Georgiy Altuhov (180-96) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Four Dnipro-2 players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Niko-Basket (9-0) have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 9 victories in a row, which they share with Dinamo-Bipa. Loser Dnipro-2 dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Kremen-2 and Kyiv Basket. Niko-Basket will again meet at home Dnipro-2 (#5) in the next round.
