Regular Season Round 10: Grosuplje - Pingvini 77-56

The game between tenth ranked Grosuplje (3-6) and 9th ranked Pingvini (2-7) in Grosuplje on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Grosuplje outscored guests from Ljubljana 77-56. The game was mostly controlled by Grosuplje. Pingvini was better in second period 11-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for point guard Aljaz Marinc (190-97) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 6 rebounds. Center Matija Trampus (205-89) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Urban Verbic (191-89) replied with 13 points and center Jaka Stemberger (201-92) added 1 points and 16 rebounds in the effort for Pingvini. Pingvini's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Grosuplje moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Medvode. Loser Pingvini dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. Grosuplje will face higher ranked Plama Pur (#6) in Ilirska Bistrica in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Pingvini will play at home against Celje (#7) and hope to win that game.
