Very important is a road loss of second ranked Lietkabelis (10-4) against eighth ranked Vytautas (4-9) on Saturday night. Visiting Lietkabelis was defeated by Vytautas in Prienai 88-74. Vytautas players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for international forward Eigirdas Zukauskas (205-92) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Tomas Dimsa (198-94) accounted for 17 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Vytautas players scored in double figures. Zygimantas Skucas (201-92, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and international Adas Juskevicius (194-89) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Lietkabelis in the defeat. Lietkabelis' coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vytautas have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place. Lietkabelis lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Lietuvos rytas. Vytautas will play against bottom-ranked Nevezis (#10) in Kedainiai in the next round. Lietkabelis will play on the road against Juventus (#8) in Utena and hopes to get back on the winning track.
