Regular Season Round 10: Triglav - Portoroz 57-68

Portoroz's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after six consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Triglav (5-5) on the road game in Kranj 68-57 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Portoroz. Triglav managed to win second period 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 24 personal fouls committed by Triglav helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Adin Kavgic (195-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 19 rebounds. Ukrainian power forward Vadym Prokopenko (206-95) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Zeljko Markovic (197-96) replied with 12 points and 5 rebounds and guard Aleksander Vojicic (192-87) added 8 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Triglav. Portoroz maintains twelfth position with 1-6 record. Triglav at the other side keeps the fifth place with five games lost. Portoroz are looking forward to face higher ranked Medvode (#8) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Triglav will play against the league's second-placed Sezana having rather not much hope for a victory.
