Very important is a road loss of second ranked UBT Cluj Napoca (5-2) against eighth ranked Steaua CSM (5-3) on Saturday night. Visiting UBT Cluj Napoca was defeated by Steaua CSM in Bucuresti 89-75. International Nandor Kuti (197-97) responded with 14 points and 5 assists and American-Liberian guard Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: Connecticut) scored 18 points and 5 steals. Steaua CSM moved-up to fifth place, which they share with CSU Sibiu. Defending champion UBT Cluj Napoca dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Steaua CSM will play against Timba Timosoara (#10) in Timisoara in the next round where they are favorite. UBT Cluj Napoca will play on the road against Craiova (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
