Regular Season Round 7: Zeljeznicar - Brcanka 69-58

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Zeljeznicar (2-5) beat 7th ranked Brcanka (1-4) in Sarajevo 69-58 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for Montenegrin swingman Amra Bajrovic (177-97) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 4 assists. Azra Alispahic (180-95) accounted for 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Zeljeznicar's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international guard Natasa Kajtaz (169-92) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Mirela Halilovic (182-98) added 17 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Brcanka in the defeat. Zeljeznicar moved-up to eighth place. Loser Brcanka dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Zeljeznicar will meet bottom-ranked Bugojno (#11) on the road in the next round. Brcanka will play against the league's leader Banovici having rather not much hope for a victory.
