Regular Season Round 10: Fenerbahce - Yesilgiresun 85-72

Not a big story in a game in Istanbul where 10th ranked Yesilgiresun Bld (4-6) was defeated by third ranked Fenerbahce (8-2) 85-72 on Sunday. Fenerbahce dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Yesilgiresun Bld's 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Italian Nicolo Melli (205-91) fired 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Ahmet Duverioglu (209-93) chipped in 10 points. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. American power forward Darrell Williams (203-89, college: Tex.A&M-Comm., agency: 3Eye) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and Enes Taskiran (190-97) added 11 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!) respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fenerbahce have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Besiktas. Loser Yesilgiresun Bld keeps the tenth position with six games lost. They share it with Banvit BK. Fenerbahce will meet league's leader Tofas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Yesilgiresun Bld will play against Eskisehir Basket (#5) and hope to secure a win.
